Where I am from Ferry Boats and Sternwheelers are a big deal. Before there were roads or train tracks people used the river has a way to transport people and goods across the mid ohio valley.

Ferry Boat "Nina Paden" that ran between Belpre, Ohio and Parkersburg, WV before the 1915 bridge was built

Drawing back on Mauers concept of using history to trigger memories. This boat reminds me of the one I had a school dance on,I believe it was a junior high dance.
When i think of the history of the riverboats, sternwheelers, and ferry boats. Proud Mary comes to mind.
