Middleton Dolls and why they are important to me

Lee Middleton started making dolls in her home in 1978. The plant located in Belpre was built in 1989.
The plant is built like a doll house. The company has since left after the owner died in 1999.
My first Lee Middleton Doll in the picture below got lost, but my grandma pictured gave me hers. I still have it my most prized possession. Also in the picture is my very close cousin Tara. This picture was taken Christmas 1989 at my great grandparents house.
With Belpre being known for the dolls and other historic facts. it is not surprised that a film was made there. The film used people from Belpre and the surrounding areas. The film is Bubble by Steven Soderbergh. The movie was filmed in the old doll warehouse and some of the dolls and doll parts were used.
